The Vampire Diaries

I have recently been obsessed with The Vampire Diaries. This show is so good and always keeps you on the edge of your seat. It has got me thinking about a few though and I just wanted to share some of my random thoughts. :)

1. We take loved ones for granted, at least I tend to do so.
In this show, Elena (one of the main character's) loses a lot of people she loves. What if that was me? Would I have been happy with the time I had with my family to be satisfied and content for when they pass away?
2. If I could be a vampire (I do not believe they exist by any means), it would be exciting to an extent. However, I'm glad we don't live forever.
As a human we are so vulnerable, but this is how we know we are alive. We have the peace (if you are a Christian) of knowing that when we pass we will be in a much better place, Heaven. I'm excited for that and if wanted to live forever we would miss out on the most important and exciting part of "life."
3. Stephan vs. Damon
This has nothing to do with deep meaning it is strictly about the show... I really want Elena with Stephan. I love Damon, but he isn't meant for Elena. I want someone to come into his life that he truly loves and for that someone to truly love him back.

Mary Did Know?

This song always gets me to sing along. The words, to me, are so powerful. My favorite is the last verse (of the Kutless version) always gives me chills. I just couldn't image being Mary and knowing that the baby that God had blessed me with was going to save nations...Save me.

Sometimes

Sometimes God calls you to do difficult things to further your relationship with Him. Letting go and letting God is the best thing you can do. Having faith in a world full of sin can be one of the most difficult things, but it is the most rewarding thing. God has so much planned for us. God's plan for us surpasses any plan that we could ever imagine for ourselves.

Missing

Do you ever have those days when you just feel like something is missing?

I have been feeling that way for a couple of weeks. Finally I realized that I was missing my family. I was so homesick. I only live an hour away from my family, but an hour is still an hour. Sometimes you need a hug from someone who genuinely cares about you, someone who genuinely cares about what's going on in your life.

I feel like I have just been down for the past couple of weeks. I mean, I am happy, but family was just missing. I read somewhere (don't believe everything you read, but...) that when you are unhappy for no reason at all it is typically because you are missing someone or something.

Well, I was missing my family.

However, today my mom, daddy, and grandma came to visit me at college. They took me to lunch and we went on some other mini-adventures. This was much needed family time. I feel as if now I am somewhat re-energized for school tomorrow. (The Spanish test that I have at 8am is not helping me.)

I truly have the best family. I love them with everything I am and I would do anything in the world for them. They have my back and I have theirs.

Pictures

I love pictures. I wish that I would take more than I do. I love that even though a person in the picture may change, at that moment, that freeze frame of time shows the person whom you used to know. Pictures remind us of good times, happy times, sad times etc. They remind us of how much we have grown. They remind us of who we used to be. I love pictures. I love being able to capture the moment that is worth more than a thousand words.
